Motherland (free) 06:39
Shower in the rain in African terrain Soothing your brain In absence of the pain you begin to feel Alive once again She’ll take you to the motherland Crying in her healing hand She’ll take you with her travelling band Give you things you never had I’ll never go back even by turtle back To the place of consumerist aristocrats I’ll stay here in African terrain Until the end of days This is where we should all reside Until the rest of the world opens its eyes This is where we should all embark Until the rest of the world opens it heart You will go to sunset hill While the rest of the world is asleep You’ll stand at the peak Amazed at natures miraculous feat You’ll fall to your knees Overwhelmed by blankets of trees Welcomed and loved by communities An alien concept to you and me So let’s revolutionise the century And reject capitalist philosophies So come with me to African terrain until the end of days This is where we should all reside Until the rest of the world opens its eyes This is where we should all embark Until the rest of the world opens it heart (x2) So come join me in African terrain Until the end of day In absence of the pain we’ll begin to feel Alive once again She’ll take us to the motherland Crying in her healing hand She’ll take us with her travelling band Give us things we’ve never had So come stay with me in African terrain Until the end of days

Forever chasing rain clouds in mystery you are shrouded forever chasing rain clouds why do I feel lonely when I'm crowded why do I miss you? I think it's 'cause I kissed you and you pulled away why do I miss you? I think it's 'cause I kissed you on that fine, fine day every cloud has its silver lining so why does it feel like I've been hit by lightning, lightning Bolts bolts bolts bolts (x3) Bolts bolts lightning lightning Bolts bolts bolts bolts (x3) Bolts bolts lightning lightning Bolts bolts bolts bolts (x3) Oh lightning bolts Forever chasing rain clouds please tell me when our love will be allowed forever chasing rain clouds and all of a sudden the sun's come out come out to Play play play play (x3) Can you come out to Play play play play (x3) Can you come out to Play play play play (x3) Can you come out to play why do I miss you? I think it's 'cause I kissed you and you pulled away whay do I miss you? I think it's 'cause I kissed you on that fine, fine day why do I miss you? I think it's 'cause I kissed you and you pulled away whay do I miss you? I think it's 'cause I kissed you

If there was a creator She would not want you to praise her She'd want you to cherish each day Love your sisters and your brothers And always thank your mother 'Cause she made you this way Listen to reggae in the morning Reggae in the evening You'll stay young that way Jammin' UB40 with winos at the station Praying that it won't rain Listenin' to Ziggy on my headphones Biggy I can't let go Toots are droppin' by today And Desmond and the Deckers Keep telling me to let go Not to search for fame If there was a creator She would not want you to praise her Just cherish each day Love your sisters and your brothers And always thank your mother 'Cause she made you this way Oh oh those Isrealites Coming from Jerusalem Tearing up Bethlehem tonight Oh oh gonna see the Wailers tonight Playing at the stables Underneath a star so bright Give me one of them Give me two of them Red wine and I will dine them (x2) If there was a creator She would not want you to praise her She'd want you to cherish each day Love your sisters and your brothers And always thank your mother 'Cause she made reggae

Over the weekend I fell far I fell hard She has my heart Over the weekend Biting lips Embracing hips It's the chasing tricks Over the weekend Eyes so blue The warmest laugh Have we gone too far? Over the weekend I fell far I fell hard She has my heart Keep your heart in your chest Keep it beating at best Ears hear your heart cry And your eyes know she's One of a kind Yeah she's one of a kind Wish you were deaf and blind Just to free your mind (verse x3) Your mind is weak But your heart is strong Oh so strong It's been far too long Your mind is weak But your heart is strong Oh so strong Your eyes were never wrong Your heart it weeps And your mind it sings Along to it's Teary song Your mind is weak But your heart is strong Oh so strong It's been far too long Over the weekend I fell far I fell hard She has my heart

about

This song is about showering in the rain in Ghana, there is no better feeling. It goes on to sell the idea of sacking in the capitalist western lifestyle for a much simpler and fulfilling life in the Motherland.

about

Aaron O'Connor London, UK

Aaron is a primary school teacher and plays the guitar to the kids just as much as he does at gigs. He is all about spreading joy, as he told me "A few weeks ago I tuned up a homeless guys guitar and taught him a few chords, it's the little things that make a big difference...". ... more
